"The form errors were mostly easy to follow"
The forms worked smoothly for me overall. When I messed something up, the error messages usually pointed me to the right place, so I got the sense they were trying to be helpful rather than just throwing a generic warning at me. A couple of them sounded a little vague, so I had to guess what they meant from the tone and context, but I was still able to fix everything without getting stuck for long.

"Payment was easy, but I felt ignored"
I didn’t have any issues paying — that part went through smoothly. But after that, it kind of felt like no one was really paying attention or following up, which was frustrating

"Honestly worked well on my phone"
I used Common App mostly from my phone, and it was surprisingly easy to deal with. The pages loaded fine, the buttons were clear, and I didn’t have to keep zooming in and out, which I was expecting to be annoying. It made the whole applying process feel a lot less stressful. Maybe I’m not the only one who was worried it would be a pain on mobile, right?

"Helpful, but don’t wait until the last minute"
Common App made the whole college application process a lot less confusing for me. It was really nice having everything in one place instead of retyping the same information over and over for every school. The layout was simple, and saving my progress worked fine. It does take a little clicking around to figure out where everything is, though, so I’d definitely warn people not to start right before deadlines. Give yourself some time to get used to it, and it’s actually easy to use.

"Pretty easy to keep track of everything"
I used Common App for my college applications, and it was straightforward to use. Like, the tabs were where I expected them to be, and it was easy to tell what I’d already finished versus what still needed… attention, I guess. I didn’t feel like I was hunting around forever just to find one section. A few pages did load kind of slowly here and there, which was annoying, but overall the site made the whole application process feel a little less overwhelming...

"Honestly, submitting was weirdly easy"
I thought using Common App was going to be a whole stressful mess, but it was actually simple. I could check everything in one place and submit without freaking out too much. it was kind of a relief. Also, yeah, it’s just an application site, so nothing super exciting, but it did make the whole college app thing feel way less awful...

"Made Recommendation Tracking Way Less Stressful"
Common App made the recommendation part feel about a million times less stressful. I could easily see who I invited, what had been submitted, and who still needed a little reminder without hunting all over the place. It’s not the fanciest thing ever, but it did exactly what I needed. Plus, it saved me from sending a bunch of painfully awkward follow-up emails, which I’m very grateful for. Overall, I was happy with it.

"I’m bad at remembering important dates…"
I’m bad at remembering important dates, so this has been a big help for me. It reminds me at right time, and I don’t have to keep checking the calendar over and over. Simple thing, but it made my life a little easier

"Decent Overall, but a Bit Confusing"
I had an okay experience with the site overall. It works well enough and there are some useful parts, but I had mixed feelings about the essay section. It felt a little confusing to navigate and I wasn’t always sure what I was supposed to do next. Not a bad site, just could be clearer in that area

"I just used it recently, so it’s still…"
I just used it recently, so it’s still fresh in my mind. It did end up working, but the upload gave me a bit of trouble at first and took a few tries before it finally went through. Not a huge deal, but since that was the most recent part of the experience, it definitely stood out to me.

"Helped organize requirements, but I still double-checked"
Common App did make it a lot easier to see what each college needed. I liked that the extra essays and school-specific questions showed up in one place, because it kept me from constantly wondering if I was missing something.

That said, a few things were harder to find than I expected, and that kind of chipped away at my trust a little. I still ended up double-checking some college websites just to be safe, but overall it saved me a lot of time.

"Pretty easy to follow"
commonapp.org made the whole college application process feel way less overwhelming for me. The instructions were clear, and most of the time it told me exactly what I needed to do next, which helped a lot. I liked how everything was split into sections too, so I wasn’t just staring at one huge confusing form. A couple parts took me a minute to figure out, but overall, it was simple and kept me on track...

"Just a warning for anyone considering this…"
Just a warning for anyone considering this: I did run into a few glitches while using it. Nothing completely stopped me, and I was able to finish everything in the end, but it definitely wasn’t as smooth as I expected. Be prepared for a couple of hiccups...

The status updates came through quickly, which was nice because I didn’t have to keep checking or wondering what was going on. A friend recommended it to me, i can see why.

"Pretty smooth from what I remember"
I used commonapp.org when I was working on my applications, and from what I remember, it was dependable. The pages loaded fine, my info saved like it was supposed to, and I don’t recall dealing with any random crashes or glitches. it made the whole application process feel a little less stressful.

"Helpful for keeping my college search organized"
I used Common App mostly for searching colleges, and it was useful. The filters helped a lot for narrowing things down by location, majors, deadlines, and stuff like that. Something about it just made the whole process feel a little less overwhelming. Some pages did load kind of slow sometimes, and a few college profiles felt basic, so I still had to double-check details on the schools’ own websites. But overall, it saved me time and helped me keep my list organized. I’d give it 4 stars.

"Helpful, but way more stressful than I expected"
I used Common App to apply to U.S. colleges as an international student, and while it definitely made the process possible, it wasn’t exactly smooth. Some of the instructions for international applicants were unclear, especially around transcripts and counselor forms, and my school had no idea what certain parts were asking for. That added a lot of unexpected stress when I was already trying to deal with deadlines. Support did respond eventually, but it took a while and the answers felt kind of generic. Overall, it’s useful, but I really wish they had clearer guidance for students applying from outside the U.S.

"The prompts were better than I expected"
I didn’t think the Common App essay prompts would help much, but they were actually useful. They felt relevant enough that I wasn’t just staring at the page trying to guess what to write. I still wouldn’t say the application was fun or anything, but the prompts made that part a little less stressful than I expected.
